OUR COMMITMENT TO OUR PUPPIES & THEIR FAMILIES
At B&N Miniature Dachshunds, the health and well-being of our puppies is one of our highest priorities.
We carefully plan our pairings with health, genetics, temperament, structure, and overall quality in mind. Our goal is to give every puppy the best possible start while providing our families with clear expectations and a written health guarantee.
Every B&N puppy is sold with our Limited Health Guarantee & Sales Agreement, which must be reviewed and signed before the puppy leaves our care.
We believe in transparency, which is why we make our contract available for prospective families to review before purchasing a puppy.
🩺 VETERINARY EXAMINATION
Your puppy must be examined by a licensed veterinarian within 3 days of arrival.
A copy of the veterinary examination results must be provided to B&N Miniature Dachshunds within the timeframe specified in the agreement. Failure to complete the required examination and provide the required documentation may void the Limited Health Guarantee.
We strongly encourage every family to establish a relationship with a trusted veterinarian and continue routine veterinary care throughout their puppy's Life
🧬 GENETIC & HEREDITARY HEALTH
Our Limited Health Guarantee provides specific protection for qualifying genetic or hereditary defects under the terms of our agreement.
If a puppy is found to have a qualifying life-threatening genetic defect within the first year of age, the contract requires documentation from a licensed veterinarian. B&N Miniature Dachshunds reserves the right to request a second veterinary opinion when determining whether a condition qualifies under the guarantee.
In the event that a puppy dies within the first year of age due to a qualifying genetic defect, the agreement provides for a replacement puppy of equivalent value or, at B&N’s option, a refund of the original purchase price, subject to the requirements of the agreement.
⚠️ WHAT OUR LIMITED GUARANTEE DOES NOT COVER
Our guarantee does not cover every illness, condition, injury, or veterinary expense.
The agreement specifically excludes a number of conditions, including various parasites, IVDD, kennel cough, pneumonia, hypoglycemia, ear or skin mites, mange, cherry eye, certain bite and structural conditions, allergies, hernias, small trachea, entropion, undescended testicles, luxated patellas grades 1–3, cancer, and certain elective procedures.
The guarantee also does not cover veterinary costs associated with covered conditions. Veterinary expenses remain the responsibility of the purchaser.
🐾 YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
A healthy puppy requires continued care after leaving B&N.
The purchaser is responsible for maintaining the puppy’s health, including recommended veterinary examinations, vaccinations, medications, and follow-up care. The contract requires purchasers to maintain veterinary records and receipts as verification of appropriate care.
The agreement also contains specific requirements regarding diet, breeding, and other circumstances that can affect or void the guarantee.

The agreement must be initialed and signed as required before the puppy leaves B&N Miniature Dachshunds. A signed copy is returned to the purchaser and included with the puppy’s records.
